1:1 TRE (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises)

A structured space for your body to unwind

Stress, overwhelm, and long-term tension often settle into the body in ways we don’t notice at first.
You might feel tightness in your hips, jaw, shoulders, or lower back.
You might feel restless, easily startled, constantly “on,” or unable to fully relax.
These reactions are part of how the nervous system adapts to stress and survival.

1:1 TRE provides a guided way for the body to release this stored tension through a natural tremor reflex.

What TRE is

TRE activates a neurophysiological shaking mechanism that the body already knows how to use. This reflex unwinds deep muscular holding patterns that build up when stress responses don’t complete fully.

The process is simple, but the effect is significant: your body begins to let go of tension it has carried for years.

TRE is not emotional catharsis, and it is not forced. It is a regulated, paced, body-led method.

Why 1:1 guidance matters

While TRE can be practiced independently, many people benefit from private sessions in the beginning.
In 1:1 TRE, you receive:

pacing that matches your system
adjustments to positions for safe tremors
support if emotions arise
containment when intensity increases
grounding after release
education to recognize your body’s cues
This creates a more stable foundation, especially if you’ve been through trauma, chronic stress, or long periods of activation.

How sessions work

Laila Lodhia

15+ Years of experience

A typical session includes:

a brief check-in about your current state
guided activation positions
initiating the tremor reflex
regulating intensity
learning how to pause, slow down, or deepen the process
grounding and integration at the end
You remain in control at all times.
The pace is always adapted to what your body can handle.

What this work helps with

TRE is especially helpful for people who experience:

chronic muscular tension

stress held in the hips, pelvis, jaw, or lower spine

restlessness or agitation

difficulty relaxing

physical symptoms linked to emotional stress

hypervigilance

sleep disturbances

fatigue from constant bracing

the physical imprint of trauma responses (fight, flight, freeze)

Who this service is for

1:1 TRE is a good fit if you:

"But does it actually work?"
Don’t hear it from us. See what learners have to say:
want to build a safe TRE practice before joining a group
process stress physically
feel stuck in your body
prefer a body-first approach
want relief without talking extensively
have tried mindfulness or stretching with limited effect
You do not need prior experience or physical fitness to begin.

What you may notice over time

Clients often report:

improved sleep

easier breathing

reduced muscle tightness

less internal pressure

calmer reactions to stress

a softer baseline

deeper rest after sessions

The problem

When stress lives in your body, it shows up like this…

Chronic muscle tension that never really lets go.

Headaches, back pain, or tightness that flares under stress.

Feeling restless or on edge, even when nothing is wrong.

Talking about it helps your thoughts, but not the knots in your body.

The Transformation

Somatic release can help you...

Release stored survival stress that talk therapy alone may not resolve.

Reduce chronic patterns of muscle tension linked to trauma.

Regain a felt sense of grounding and safety in your body.

Strengthen your nervous system’s ability to recover after stress.
