What somatic release is

TRE® (Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises) uses a series of positions that activate a neurophysiological shaking mechanism in the body. These tremors are not forced; they’re a natural reflex found across mammals. When guided properly, this reflex helps unwind deep muscular holding patterns created by stress, trauma responses, and chronic activation.
